Platinum Performing Arts opened in August 2024. Between our opening months in Fall 2024 to our Spring 2025 season we tripled our enrollment. This far exceeded our goals as a new non-profit dance & theatre studio and we are excited to keep growing. We proudly serve our Orange County community through high quality performing arts training and experiences, with an emphasis on providing services to students with disabilities and students in low-income families.

Scholarships
We currently provide two types of scholarships (Low-Income & Special Needs) to limit barriers and financial burdens for qualifying students who enroll in Platinum classes, productions, and camps. Donations help us increase the amount of Scholarships we can provide each year.
Start-Up & Build Costs
Platinum opened in 2024 with a strong mission and big dreams, but the cost of building our beautiful studio space was significant for our small organization. Donations help us pay off the credit we used to open our doors.
All Abilities Class Aides
Our All Abilities classes are specifically for students with disabilities. Even though we charge the same standard price as all other classes, we provide an additional instructor for every All Abilities class in order to make sure students can be best supported as they learn about performing arts. Donations help us pay for this additional instructor.
Productions
Productions are the heart and soul of musical theatre, and Platinum makes every effort to provide the most incredible performance experiences at a low cost to students. Donations help us pay for the theatre rental, costumes, sets, props, technicians, instructors, stage crew, and concessions that you see at each of our shows.
Operating Costs
Just like in theatre, it takes a lot of moving parts to keep an organization afloat! Daily operating costs such as internet, class management software, advertising, cleaning products, and insurance policies all add up. Donations make it possible for us to focus on the students growth and experience rather than the number of students we have enrolled.
Uniform Fees
Platinum has a dress code for certain classes in order to help students feel a sense of community and non-judgement. Donations help us purchase merchandise and provide it to students at lower costs (or, when we are able, for free!) so that no student is without a uniform or dance shoes because of financial distress.
Staff Salaries
Platinum has a small team of employees whose dedication to their work are what make our programs possible. A typical for-profit studio can only maintain employees if enrollment numbers are high enough to afford it. As a non-profit, Platinum gives employees set contracts that allow for job security independent of enrollment numbers. Donations help ensure this job security, even when enrollment numbers are low.
Contractor Fees
Platinum occasionally hires professional educators, consultants, and theatre technicians as contractors to support well-rounded experiences for students. Donations help us pay for stage managers, photographers, run crew, light technicians, marketing consultants, and accountants who are vital to the success of Platinum and the quality of our programs.
