Inclusive Options for Students with Disabilities
Platinum believes that every child should have access to high quality performing arts classes and experiences. We've designed these options to help make sure students with disabilities have the access and supports that suit their individual needs. If you have any questions, please reach out! We'd love to help your performer shine on stage.
Everyone Can Perform Platinum
Inclusion Program
Platinum's Inclusion Program is not a specific class, but is a collection of supports we use to help ensure all students have access to musical theatre experiences. Our Inclusion Program is also a promise that we will do our best to include all.
-
EVERYONE is always welcome to attend ANY of our classes. We encourage you to choose classes that excite your child, and we will help facilitate a positive experience in whatever they choose.
-
When you indicate that your child has a disability (either via contacting us or via our enrollment form), we will reach out to schedule an Inclusion Phone Meeting.
-
The Inclusion Phone Meeting is a chance for Platinum to get to know your student, and for you to tell us about what they need to shine! We also discuss accommodations, safety concerns, and goals.
-
When your child attends class, we'll use the information you've shared and our knowledge as instructors who work with students with disabilities to support their learning and engagement. We'll keep communication open to make sure they are having a positive experience and adjust when needed
