Competitions for All Levels
Our Competition Team is open to ALL levels and abilities. As a non-profit dance & theatre studio that focuses on inclusion and accessibility, there is no audition to join our team. The Team Placement Audition is to place students in appropriate competition categories and choreograph to their strengths. All requirements are designed to support performers growth and prices are transparent. Platinum’s goal is to train experienced performers while having fun and supporting a healthy performers mindset and emotional awareness.
Requirements
Competition Team is open to dancers ages 4-18. Students must be enrolled in the weekly Competition Team Rehearsal in addition to weekly technique classes. Students ages 4-6 are required to be enrolled in Little Stars Tap & Ballet to meet the technique class requirement, and students ages 7+ are required to be enrolled in any two of the following technique classes: Triple Threat Training, Ballet, Tap, or Jazz Technique: Leaps & Turns.
How it Works
Competition Team Fees vary by performer based on their age, how many group numbers they are in, how many solos/duets they are in, and the competition fee requirements set by each competition. Performers will be placed in a minimum of one small group performance number. Solos, duets, trios & additional small group numbers will be offered based on age and skill readiness. Once offered, families can determine which solos, duets, trios & additional small group numbers they accept. One small group number, as determined by Platinum, will be required for every team member.

Fees
Class Fees
$139 Per Month
The weekly classes that each team member ages 4-6 is required to attend:

Team Fees
$200
A one-time team fee that supports covering the cost of staff at team events.
Costume Fees
The cost of purchasing the costumes used for the entire competition season. Little Stars will be placed in a minimum of 1 number, and a maximum of 3. Each number will need a costume.

Each competition has a fee for every entry in the competition at every competition.

Choreography
The required small group choreography and rehearsal fees are included in the Competition Team Rehearsal class. Solos, duets/trios, and additional small groups will require more choreography time and/or rehearsal time. (due October 31)
